The Spence Law Firm recently initiated litigation against Nevada-based LTD Broadband LLC, in Hennepin County District Court, on behalf of our Tennessee-based business clients. The lawsuit arises from a contract dispute for LTD’s failure to pay a six-figure balloon payment and related damages following the sale of a business. The Star Tribune recently published an article about additional challenges Defendant LTD is now facing, after Minnesota’s Public Utility Commission regulators suspended a certification for LTD Broadband. The entire article can be found here.

The Spence Law Firm is proud to share that its Law Clerk, Trey Perez (St. Thomas, J.D. ’23) recently published an article in the Seattle University School of Law American Indian Law Journal.   His paper, “Native American Intellectual Property Protection:  Altering Federal IP Law and the Indian Arts and Crafts Act to Aid Tribal Economic Development” was announced by St. Thomas Law School.  A link to read his work can be found here

Trey’s thoughtful article is indicative of his capable, analytical approach to persuasive legal writing, which our clients and firm have benefitted from, over his tenure with us.  Congratulations, and thank you, Trey!
