OUR TEAM

  • Mr. Spence founded The Spence Law Firm, a Minneapolis-based litigation boutique, focused on entertainment law, intellectual property, business/corporate and estate matters. Prior to that, he worked at a nationally-recognized trial law firm, Meshbesher & Spence, Ltd. Most recently, he was a partner in two litigation-oriented firms in Minneapolis. In each setting, Mr. Spence is known for his ambitious, aggressive, creative and dedicated client representation.

Mr. Spence has established a reputation as a go-to attorney for national and local clients, as well as other attorneys, who want their legal matters handled well and properly resolved. He is sought after both as a trusted business advisor and as a zealous legal advocate. His clients and adversaries range from multi-million-dollar national corporations, their officers, shareholders, financiers and employees, to new companies, creatives, artists, entrepreneurs, musicians, media, broadcasters, producers, advertisers, filmmakers, and other internet-based and entertainment-related businesses and individuals.

Mr. Spence focuses on litigation, business, entertainment, intellectual property and personal legal matters. He has handled an extensive array of matters, for an even more diverse variety of clients. His business clients include high level executives, fortune 500 companies, class claimants and matters involving nearly any corporate or commercial issue or venture. His entertainment industry clients include household names, well-established legacy artists, creatives and professional athletes as well as those on their way up to becoming one of those, themselves.

Although complex commercial litigation and industry-specific matters are regularly handled by Mr. Spence, his personal approach and reasonable demeanor make even the most trying cases easier to understand and manage for his clients. He is passionate about helping his clients and providing them the very best representation and advice for their important legal needs.
